Forest protests roll on

Today’s protest action shows that no matter how many trees are locked up, or businesses shut down or jobs lost, environmental groups will never be satisfied.

The Premier has tried to claim that her forest deal will provide peace in our time. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The Premier said that the forestry deal was about swapping the trees for the pulp mill, yet none of the environmental groups, including the Greens, have called for the pulp mill protests to stop.

It is now abundantly clear that the protests won’t stop and that the Premier has sold our forest industry out for nothing.
