Job ads fall for six months in a row
Tasmania needs a jobs creation plan urgently.
Figures released by ANZ today show that job advertisements have fallen in trend terms every month since December 2010. In the 12 months to May 2011, job advertisements fell by 11.5 per cent.
The Liberals have a plan to turn Tasmania’s economy around by cutting red tape, fixing the planning system and putting downward pressure on power prices. Our plan would help create the conditions for growing the economy and helping businesses.
The Green-Labor experiment is clearly failing to create jobs and re-boot the economy. They are so worried about their own jobs they are incapable of focussing on creating jobs for Tasmanians.
Instead of a positive plan to get the Tasmanian economy going, the only clear plans the Green-Labor Government have is to sack teachers, nurses and police officers and to shut down the forestry industry.
