Confidence down, business conditions collapse

The National Australia Bank Monthly Survey shows that business confidence is falling as business conditions collapsed in June.^*

What this shows is that it’s not just the Liberals that have no confidence in this Green-Labor Government, it’s the business community as well.

Tasmania’s economy is on the brink of crisis and rather than doing something about it all the Treasurer can do is try and point the finger at someone else.

Well, the buck stops with the Treasurer and Premier. She’s had nearly six months to implement an economic policy and she has completely failed.

Worse than that, she’s actively cheering on the collapse of our forestry industry and is responsible for the mass sacking of frontline staff like teachers, nurses and police officers, which will do even more damage to our fragile economy.

^*The Survey shows that in June business confidence in Tasmania declined by 8 points to -18 (seasonally adjusted) and declined to -9 (trend).

In June Tasmanian business conditions dropped a staggering 28 points to -37 (seasonally adjusted) and fell to -21 (trend).
