Employment crashes – Giddings loses nine jobs a day

In shocking new unemployment statistics today, it’s been revealed that a massive 1,500 jobs have been lost in Tasmania since Lara Giddings became Premier.

That’s an extraordinary nine Tasmanians losing their jobs for each and every day of Lara Giddings’ premiership.

To achieve the Government’s 15,000 jobs target, Ms Giddings needs to be creating 10 jobs a day. (See the graph which is below and also attached in better quality).

Only yesterday Ms Giddings claimed in Parliament that “what is happening in this State of ours that is very positive” and there is “evidence of the underlying recovery”.

Try telling that to the 1,500 Tasmanians you have thrown onto the jobless queue, Ms Giddings.
